Wildwood Lodge Pewaukee, Pewaukee

Upon arrival, the room could have been cleaner, but it wasn't too bad. I really enjoyed the games in the lobby and the free drink tickets, even though I didn't have time to use them. The service was great, the staff even had real conversations with you. The location was convenient for my needs, and the facilities were good overall.

The hotel's rooms were a bit tired and in need of refurbishing, but they were surprisingly nice and super affordable. The cleanliness was reasonable, but the overall look mirrored a long-overdue need for a remodel—filthy carpets, worn-out beds, and peeling wallpaper. However, the rooms themselves were very clean and neat.

The hotel was conveniently located just off the interstate, making it easy to find, though the building seemed a bit understaffed during my stay. The rooms were nice, but my poolside room was tiny and limited in terms of equipment. The service overall was pleasant, except for an incident with a manager having a heated conversation at the front desk. The location was easy to find and close to restaurants I visited daily, with a short walk to a few dining options. The dining experience was sub-par compared to other properties in the chain, especially concerning breakfast availability. However, the grilled fish was a standout dish.
